PCB order visibility lengthens to 3-4 weeks
Current order visibility of PCBs has extended to 3-4 weeks from 2-3 weeks previously due to increased orders from the notebook and TFT LCD segments, while utilization rates have also risen, according to PCB makers.
PCB maker HannStar Board has reported consolidated revenues of NT$1.65 billion (US$48.7 million) for March 2009, an increase of 32.17% on month. The company expects April revenues to hold level or have a slight growth from March.
HannStar Board has also released its 2008 financial report, posting consolidated revenues of NT$20.763 billion, gross margin of 14.51%, net profit of NT$577 million and net earnings per share of NT$1.46.
Tripod Technology and Dynamic Electronics have also increased their order lead time. Tripod said its utilization rate has increased to 70%. Dynamic estimates first-quarter consolidated revenues at NT$1.7-1.8 billion and expects to see double-digit revenue growth in April.
