PCB Makers Expect CCL Price Increase;Boost Inventory
Some PCB makers have begun building up copper-clad laminate (CCL) inventory levels and have signed long-term purchasing contracts with CCL makers as they believe the price of CCLs may increase this month. The move implies that demand for PCBs is recovering, according to industry sources.
The prices of copper foil and glass fabric have risen by 5-10%, and copper pricing has rebounded to US$3,700 per ton.
Copper foil supplier Co-tech indicated its utilization rate increased to 70% in early March and is expected to reach 80% in April.
